A Louisiana man is in custody after evading authorities on Interstate 20 Tuesday morning.
A DPS Trooper pulled over a silver SUV for speeding near the 584 mile marker in Gregg County. Once the trooper was in possession of the man's driver's license, the man, identified as Steven Davis, 51, of Shreveport, drove off.
According to the arrest affidavit, Davis drove about a mile and a half and pulled over, only to drive off once again.
After another very short pursuit, Davis was extracted from the vehicle and a search of the vehicle ensued.
Davis was also found to be in possession of marijuana. He was booked into the Gregg County Jail and charged with evading arrest and possession of marijuana.
