Police: Meth, syringe found in car; ETX woman charged with DWI | News
LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV)-
One person has been arrested in connection to a three vehicle collision in Longview Tuesday night, believed to have been caused by drunk driving.
Police arrested 29-year-old Jacklyn Beaty for DWI, her second offense, driving without a license and possession of a controlled substance.
Police say around 7:30 Tuesday night, Beaty was making a left turn in the 2200 block of Loop 281, when her truck hit a Ford Focus.
The impact of that collision sent the Focus into the path of another truck.
Fire crews had to cut the driver of the Focus out of her vehicle.
The probable cause affidavit states that methamphetamine and a syringe was found in Beaty's vehicle.
She was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Beaty fled the scene but was found a short distance away.
